Centrelink (Department of Human Services)

Centrelink are responsible for the development of service delivery policy and provide access to social, health and other payments and services. On 26 October 2004, Centrelink was created as part of the Finance and Administration portfolio. The Human Services Legislation Amendment Act 2011 integrated Medicare Australia and Centrelink into the Department of Human Services on 1 July 2011.

Abuse in State Care Support Service

The Abuse in State Care Support Service has been established by the State Government to provide support to people who experienced abuse in State care when they were children. The Service aims to assist people to overcome the impacts of the abuse and improve their life circumstances.

DHHS Family Violence Counselling and Support Service offers professional and specialised services to assist children, young people and adults affected by family violence. This service is part of the Safe at Home initiative; a Tasmanian whole of government response to family violence.
