EDO Tasmania is a community legal service providing expert information and advice to individuals and groups throughout Tasmania.  They can assist with a range of environmental and planning matters, including forestry, development activities, coastal protection, water management, marine farming, mining, climate change adaptation and the protection of cultural heritage.

Australian Human Rights Commission

The Commission was established in 1986 as an independent statutory organisation reporting to the Commonwealth Parliament through the Attorney-General. Their vision is human rights: everyone, everywhere, everyday.

Centrelink (Department of Human Services)

Centrelink are responsible for the development of service delivery policy and provide access to social, health and other payments and services. On 26 October 2004, Centrelink was created as part of the Finance and Administration portfolio. The Human Services Legislation Amendment Act 2011 integrated Medicare Australia and Centrelink into the Department of Human Services on 1 July 2011.

Commonwealth Ombudsman

The Commonwealth Ombudsman deals with complaints about Commonwealth Government departments and agencies, and is also the Ombudsman for: Private Health Insurance Overseas Students VET Student Loans the Defence Force Immigration Law Enforcement the Postal Industry the Australian Capital Territory Norfolk Island The Commonwealth Ombudsman is also responsible for: oversight of the Commonwealth Public Interest Disclosure scheme inspection and monitoring of controlled operations and surveillance devices

Colony 47

Colony 47 delivers integrated services to help individuals and families stay housed, access education, develop skills, find employment and build meaningful family relationships. They have expertise in providing effective support to people such as homeless young women, long term unemployed, humanitarian entrants, or people with persistent and severe mental illness.
