The Australian Press Council was established in 1976 and is responsible for promoting good standards of media practice, community access to information of public interest, and freedom of expression through the media. The Council is the principal body with responsibility for responding to complaints about Australian newspapers, magazines and associated digital outlets.

A guide to the unfair contract terms law

A guide to assist businesses, legal practitioners and consumer advocates understand the laws by explaining the unfair contract terms laws as simply as possible. The guide has been developed jointly by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the state and territory consumer protection agencies.
